Honest answers from our GMC registered doctors — covering everything from how our Liverpool clinic works to what you can expect from each treatment.

General Clinic
Revitalise Aesthetics is a doctor-led clinic based on Castle Street in Liverpool city centre. Every treatment is carried out by a GMC registered doctor with a background in emergency medicine — not a therapist or beautician. We were founded specifically to offer a medically safe, genuinely personalised alternative to the growing number of unregulated aesthetic clinics across the UK. We believe in subtle, natural results and honest consultations, and we will never recommend a treatment we don't genuinely believe is right for you.
A doctor-led aesthetics clinic is one where treatments are performed and overseen by a fully qualified medical doctor rather than a beautician or unregulated practitioner. The Joint Council for Cosmetic Practitioners (JCCP) and Save Face — the UK's government-approved register of aesthetic practitioners — both highlight the importance of choosing a medically qualified provider. At Revitalise, both Dr Misha and Dr Amy are GMC registered doctors, meaning they bring clinical diagnostic expertise, an understanding of facial anatomy and the ability to manage any complications safely.
Yes. Both Dr Misha and Dr Amy are fully registered with the General Medical Council (GMC) and hold current licences to practise. You can verify any doctor's registration directly on the GMC's medical register. Both doctors have backgrounds in emergency medicine alongside their specialist interest in medical aesthetics.
The UK aesthetics industry remains largely unregulated, which means anyone can legally offer many treatments with minimal training. This carries real risks. The Save Face register — approved by the government — exists specifically to help patients identify qualified, safe practitioners. We strongly recommend choosing a clinic where treatments are performed by a medically qualified doctor and where there is a clear clinical governance structure in place.
We are based at 6–8 Castle Street, Liverpool, L2 0NB — in the heart of Liverpool city centre, directly opposite Liverpool Town Hall. We're located on the first floor of Castle Street Derma Cosmedic. The nearest Merseyrail station is James Street, a 2-minute walk away. For full directions and parking information, visit our Where to Find Us page.
You can book a free consultation directly through our website. All consultations are one-on-one with a GMC registered doctor and are completely free of charge with no obligation to proceed with any treatment. We'll discuss your concerns, assess your suitability and create a personalised treatment plan if appropriate.
Yes, absolutely. Your initial consultation with one of our doctors is completely free and there is no obligation to book any treatment. We believe that a proper consultation is the foundation of safe aesthetics — it would be wrong to charge for something that is clinically necessary before we can recommend anything.
You must be 18 or over to receive any aesthetic treatment at Revitalise Aesthetics. This applies to all treatments without exception. We will always verify age at consultation and we do not treat anyone under the age of 18 under any circumstances.
Look for a practitioner who is a qualified medical doctor, nurse or dentist — registered with the GMC, NMC or GDC respectively. Appearance on the Save Face register is a strong indicator of credibility. You should also confirm they hold appropriate insurance, use licensed pharmaceutical-grade products and have access to resuscitation equipment and reversal agents.
Every patient leaves our clinic with direct contact details and clear aftercare instructions. Because our doctors are medically qualified, they are able to assess and manage complications clinically — something that non-medical practitioners cannot always do. We take a zero-tolerance approach to leaving patients without support after treatment, and we follow up on every case where a concern is raised.
Initial consultations typically take 30–45 minutes. Follow-up treatment appointments vary by treatment — most take between 30 and 60 minutes. We will always give you a clear indication of how long to expect when you book.
Yes — there are several car parks within a short walk of our Castle Street clinic, including Q-Park on The Strand (3 minutes), NCP Moorfields on Bixteth Street (5 minutes) and Liverpool ONE (8 minutes). Full details are on our Where to Find Us page.
Most treatments at Revitalise have minimal downtime. Anti-wrinkle injections and skin boosters typically require no recovery time at all. Treatments such as microneedling and BioRePeel may cause some redness for 24–48 hours. We will always give you specific aftercare guidance at your appointment so you can plan accordingly.
General advice ahead of most appointments includes avoiding alcohol for 24 hours and arriving with clean skin where possible. We will always send you specific pre-treatment guidance tailored to your treatment when you book, and your doctor will discuss any relevant considerations at your consultation.
Results & Expectations
Natural results are the foundation of everything we do at Revitalise. Our philosophy is built around subtle enhancement — the kind of results where people notice you look refreshed, not that you've had something done. We will never administer a treatment in a way that we don't believe will deliver a natural outcome, and we will always be honest with you if we think a different approach would serve you better.
Yes — you can view a selection of real client before and after results on our results page. All results shown are from real Revitalise clients and reflect a range of treatments including lip filler, dermal fillers, microneedling, polynucleotides, PRP and BioRePeel.
Not at Revitalise. The "overdone" look is almost always the result of poor technique, excessive product or a practitioner who hasn't assessed the patient properly. Our doctors are trained to assess facial anatomy in detail and will only ever recommend what is genuinely appropriate for your face, your features and your goals. If we don't think a treatment will achieve a natural outcome for you, we will say so.
This depends entirely on the treatment and your individual goals. Some treatments — such as anti-wrinkle injections and lip filler — produce visible results after a single session. Others, such as microneedling, polynucleotides and PRP, typically deliver their best results over a course of 3 sessions. We will give you a clear, honest expectation of the likely outcome at your consultation.
Lip Filler Liverpool
At Revitalise Aesthetics, every lip filler treatment begins with a thorough consultation to discuss your goals and assess your anatomy. A topical numbing cream is applied before treatment. The filler — a hyaluronic acid-based product — is then administered via fine needles or cannulas. The treatment itself typically takes 20–30 minutes. There may be mild swelling for 24–48 hours, which settles to reveal your final result.
Lip fillers typically last between 6 and 12 months, though this varies between individuals depending on metabolism, lifestyle and the amount of product used. We review all lip filler patients after 2 weeks and will advise on the appropriate timing for top-up treatments at that stage.
Yes. Hyaluronic acid lip fillers can be dissolved using an enzyme called hyaluronidase. At Revitalise Aesthetics, we are able to dissolve lip filler when clinically appropriate — for example, if there is a clinical indication or complication that warrants it.
Botulinum toxin (Botox) works by relaxing the muscles that cause expression lines — such as forehead lines and crow's feet. It does not add volume. Dermal fillers are gel-like substances (typically hyaluronic acid) injected beneath the skin to restore volume, define contours or enhance features such as the lips and cheeks. The two treatments are very different and are often used together as part of a complementary treatment plan. Our anti-wrinkle and dermal filler pages explain each in more detail.
Anti-Wrinkle Treatments Liverpool
At Revitalise Aesthetics, our anti-wrinkle treatments include botulinum toxin injections for forehead lines, frown lines (glabellar lines), crow's feet and more. We also offer Microtox — a technique that delivers botulinum toxin into the skin rather than the muscle, which is excellent for skin texture, enlarged pores and acne. Hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating) treatment using botulinum toxin is also available.
There is no single right answer — it is an entirely personal decision. However, from a clinical perspective, botulinum toxin works best on dynamic lines (lines that appear with movement) before they become static (permanently etched into the skin). Starting earlier can therefore be genuinely preventative. The British Association of Dermatologists notes that prevention is always more effective than correction when it comes to skin ageing. We will always advise you honestly on whether treatment is appropriate at your consultation.
Yes. Botulinum toxin is a well-established treatment for hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating), as recognised by the NHS. When injected into the affected area — typically the underarms, hands or feet — it blocks the nerve signals that trigger sweat glands, significantly reducing sweating. Results typically last 4–6 months. This is one of the most impactful treatments we offer for quality of life.
The best treatment depends on the type of lines you have. Dynamic lines (visible on movement) respond well to anti-wrinkle injections. Static lines (visible at rest) are better addressed with dermal fillers, skin boosters or polynucleotides. A combination approach is often the most effective. We will assess your skin at consultation and recommend the most appropriate plan.
Skin Treatments Liverpool
We offer scalp microneedling, PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) therapy and polynucleotides for hair thinning and hair loss. These treatments work by stimulating the scalp, improving circulation and supporting hair follicle regeneration. The NHS recognises that hair loss can have a significant impact on wellbeing, and we take a compassionate, evidence-based approach to assessment and treatment. A consultation will help us identify the most suitable option for your specific concern.
Yes — microneedling is one of the most effective treatments available for acne scarring. By creating controlled micro-injuries in the skin, it triggers the body's natural healing process and stimulates collagen production, which gradually improves the texture and appearance of scarring over time. Results are typically seen after a course of 3 sessions. It can be combined with specialist serums, exosomes or BioRePeel for enhanced results.
Initial improvements in skin texture and tone are often visible within 2–4 weeks of a first session. More significant results — particularly for scarring — typically develop over 3–6 months as new collagen is produced. A course of 3 sessions spaced 4–6 weeks apart gives the best outcomes. We will set realistic expectations at your consultation based on your specific skin concerns.
Yes — scalp microneedling is one of the treatments we offer for hair thinning and hair loss at Revitalise. It works by stimulating blood flow and growth factors in the scalp, creating an environment that supports hair follicle activity. It is often combined with PRP or specialist serums for enhanced results. As seen in our results gallery, meaningful improvements in hair density can be achieved even after a single treatment.
This depends on the cause. Dark circles caused by volume loss under the eye respond well to tear trough filler. Those caused by pigmentation or thin skin are better addressed with polynucleotides or PRP, which regenerate the skin at a cellular level. We will assess the underlying cause at consultation and recommend accordingly.
At our Liverpool skin clinic, the treatments we most commonly use for acne scarring include microneedling, BioRePeel chemical peels, polynucleotides and PRP. The most effective approach is often a combination — for example, BioRePeel and microneedling used together target the skin from both the surface and beneath it. Read more in our blog post on how aestheticians can help with acne.
BioRePeel is a biphasic chemical peel that works on the surface of the skin — exfoliating dead cells, stimulating cell turnover and targeting active acne and superficial scarring. Microneedling works at a deeper level, creating controlled micro-injuries that stimulate collagen production from within. The two treatments complement each other well and are frequently used together as part of a combined skin rejuvenation plan.
BioRePeel is generally well-tolerated across skin types, including sensitive skin, due to its unique biphasic formulation which minimises irritation. However, every patient is assessed individually at consultation. If we have any concerns about your skin's suitability, we will advise on an alternative approach. We never proceed with any treatment without a thorough assessment first.
Skin boosters such as Profhilo are designed to deeply hydrate the skin and improve its overall quality, laxity and radiance. They spread throughout the tissue rather than adding localised volume. Dermal fillers are designed to add structure and volume to specific areas — such as the cheeks, lips or jawline. Both use hyaluronic acid but serve different purposes, and many patients benefit from both as part of a comprehensive treatment plan.
Polynucleotides are an advanced regenerative treatment derived from highly purified DNA fragments. When injected into the skin, they stimulate fibroblast activity — the cells responsible for producing collagen and elastin — and promote cellular repair and regeneration. They are particularly effective for skin quality, fine lines, acne scarring and under-eye concerns. Results develop gradually over several weeks as the skin regenerates from within.
For most skin concerns, we recommend an initial course of 3 PRP treatments spaced 4–6 weeks apart. For hair loss, a course of 3–4 sessions is typically advised. Maintenance treatments every 6–12 months help to sustain results. The exact number will be discussed and personalised at your consultation.
Improving skin texture and radiance typically involves a combination of professional treatments and a consistent skincare routine. At our Liverpool skin clinic, we commonly recommend microneedling, BioRePeel and skin boosters for texture and radiance concerns. Alongside treatment, daily SPF, consistent hydration and appropriate active ingredients such as vitamin C and retinol play an important role. We can advise on a personalised skincare routine at your consultation.
Choosing the Right Clinic
When choosing an aesthetics clinic in Liverpool, the most important factor is the qualifications of whoever will be treating you. Look for a clinic where treatments are carried out by a GMC registered doctor, nurse or dentist — not an unregulated practitioner. The Save Face register is a government-approved resource that lists accredited aesthetic practitioners across the UK. Beyond qualifications, look for transparency around pricing, a genuine consultation process with no pressure to book, and before and after results that demonstrate a natural, consistent aesthetic.
A good Botox provider should be a qualified doctor, dentist or nurse registered with the GMC, GDC or NMC. In the UK, botulinum toxin is a prescription-only medicine — meaning it must be prescribed by a qualified prescriber before it can be administered. Any clinic that does not involve a prescriber in the process is operating outside the law. Look for practitioners listed on Save Face or the JCCP register, and always ask to see evidence of qualifications and insurance before proceeding.
A dermatologist is a specialist medical doctor who diagnoses and treats skin conditions — typically seen via NHS referral or private consultation, and not usually focused on aesthetic treatments. A skin clinic, such as Revitalise Aesthetics, focuses on aesthetic and cosmetic skin treatments delivered by medically qualified practitioners. At Revitalise, our doctors bring clinical diagnostic expertise to every consultation, meaning we are able to identify whether a concern is cosmetic or medical in nature and advise accordingly. For concerns that require dermatological assessment, we will always refer appropriately.
Lip Filler Liverpool — Pricing & Options
At Revitalise Aesthetics, lip filler in Liverpool is priced based on the amount of product used and the complexity of the treatment. Prices start from £150 for 0.5ml and £220 for 1ml. All treatments are carried out by a GMC registered doctor and include a full consultation and two-week review. You can view our full price list on the prices page.
At Revitalise Aesthetics, 0.5ml of lip filler starts from £150. This is a popular choice for first-time patients or those looking for a subtle enhancement. 0.5ml adds gentle definition and a small amount of volume without dramatically changing the shape of the lips. Our doctors will advise on the most appropriate amount for your anatomy and goals at consultation.
This depends entirely on your starting point and your goals. 0.5ml is ideal for a first treatment, subtle definition or a small enhancement. 1ml is appropriate for those wanting more noticeable volume or who have had filler before and want to build on previous results. We never recommend more product than is appropriate for your individual anatomy — our doctors will assess your lips at consultation and advise on the right amount to achieve a natural outcome.
Natural lip filler refers to hyaluronic acid-based filler administered in a way that enhances the lips without making them look obviously "done". At Revitalise Aesthetics, natural results are the foundation of everything we do. We use premium hyaluronic acid products and focus on preserving the natural shape of your lips while adding subtle definition, symmetry and volume. The goal is always for people to notice that you look great — not that you've had filler.
Botox & Anti-Wrinkle — Pricing & Results
At Revitalise Aesthetics, anti-wrinkle injections in Liverpool are priced per area. Prices start from £200 for a single area, with discounts available for multiple areas treated in the same session. All treatments are carried out by a GMC registered doctor and include a two-week review appointment. You can view our full pricing on the prices page. We would caution against choosing a provider based on price alone — the qualifications of the person administering the treatment matter far more than the cost.
The 4-hour rule is a commonly cited aftercare guideline advising patients to remain upright for at least 4 hours following anti-wrinkle injections. The rationale is to minimise the risk of the product migrating to unintended muscle groups before it begins to settle. At Revitalise, we provide full written aftercare instructions at every appointment, including specific guidance on posture, activity and what to avoid in the hours and days following treatment.
The most effective treatment depends on the type of wrinkles you have. Dynamic wrinkles — lines that appear on movement such as forehead lines and crow's feet — respond best to anti-wrinkle injections. Static wrinkles — lines visible at rest — are better addressed with dermal fillers, skin boosters or polynucleotides, which restore volume and stimulate collagen. The British Association of Dermatologists notes that a combination approach tailored to the individual typically produces the best outcomes. Our doctors will assess your skin at consultation and recommend accordingly.
Microneedling Liverpool — Pricing & Results
At Revitalise Aesthetics, microneedling in Liverpool starts from £80 for a standard facial session, with prices varying depending on the area treated and whether specialist serums or add-ons are included. Scalp microneedling, face and neck combinations and specialist serum treatments are available at different price points. Full pricing is available on our prices page.
In the first 24–48 hours after microneedling, it is normal to experience redness and mild sensitivity — similar in appearance to mild sunburn. Some patients experience slight swelling or a feeling of tightness. By day 2, most patients see the redness beginning to subside. Skin may feel drier than usual during this period. We advise avoiding makeup for 24 hours, keeping the skin well hydrated and applying SPF diligently. By day 3–5 the skin typically looks and feels normal, with improvements in texture and radiance developing over the following weeks.
For the right candidate, yes — microneedling is one of the most clinically validated skin treatments available. It has strong evidence for improving acne scarring, skin texture, fine lines and hair loss. The key is having a thorough consultation beforehand to confirm suitability, and committing to a course of treatments rather than expecting results from a single session. At Revitalise, we are transparent about what microneedling can and cannot achieve, and we only recommend it when we genuinely believe it will benefit your skin.
